Abstract Presenting Guidelines

Oral Presentation Guidelines

  • A laptop, LCD projector and screen will be provided in each presentation room
  • You must bring your presentation to the conference on either a USB key/flash drive or CD (compact disc)
  • All presenters will use the conference equipment provided. Personal computers are not permitted
  • Internet access is not available in oral presentation rooms
  • It is the presenters responsibility to copy and provide handouts if required
  • Oral Presentation length – 8-10 minutes, followed by 2-5 minutes for questions and answers

Poster Guidelines

There are three sessions of poster viewing.  Each poster is assigned to a specific poster session.  Details regarding the setup and tear down times for each session can be found below. Please refer to the conference program schedule to determine during which session your poster will be viewed.

Poster Session 1 – Sunday, June 5, 2011:

Available for viewing throughout Sunday, June 5.
Dedicated viewing from 14:45 – 15:15

Setup: Sunday, June 5 between 10:00 – 12:00
Tear Down: Sunday, June 5 by 17:00

Poster Session 2 – Monday, June 6, 2011:

Available for viewing throughout Monday, June 6.
Dedicated viewing 10:00 – 10:45; 14:30 – 15:15

Setup: Monday, June 6 between 07:00 – 08:30
Tear Down: Monday, June 6 by 17:00

Poster Session 3 – Tuesday, June 7, 2011:

Available for viewing throughout Tuesday, June 7.
Dedicated viewing 10:00 – 10:30; 12:00- 13:00; 14:45 – 15:15

Setup: Tuesday, June 7 between 07:00 – 08:30
Tear Down: Tuesday, June 7 by 17:00

Poster Size

Posters for OEESC 2011 can be no longer than:
0.9 m (3 feet) high by 1.8 m (6 feet) wide (horizontal)
Velcro and/or push pins for posters will be supplied.
